The Fragility of Memory and Material (Public)
This piece consists of Images of memorials and monuments to Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans people through history. Societies often create memorials from materials we perceive to have permanence: stone and bronze. But, monuments - and their histories - can be destroyed. Reproducing these images on glass reflects on this fragility -- but reproduction via photos taken on mobile phones - and widely disseminating these images online --helps ensure the stories can't be entirely erased.
